M8 (NGC6523 & NGC6530) is located 6° north of the tip of the Teapot's spout. With a combined brightness of mag. 5.8, it is easily visible as a bright spot in the Milky Way. This is a beautiful cluster surrounded by one of the brightest nebulae in the sky.
